One of the good guys is gone. We were slightly acquainted with Fred, he was highly involved in troop 1701, which GS1 and GS2 were affiliated with. Fred was on the high adventure trips GS1 took, one biking, one canoeing. Quite a number of young men were influenced by Fred’s generosity with his time and talent.
Fred met life head on, was involved, and did his best. You can read about all that in his obituary if you wish.
Each time someone leaves us too soon because of cancer, I wonder why Papa was so lucky, and has made it so far. His cancer has been gone for over 10 years, and we are grateful for each day.
