Another Scanfest, another batch of photos to choose from! Thanks to Miriam for again doing a wonderful job hosting us all.
The little book I scanned was among some things left in a box in my garage years ago. A step-son of my step-mother brought them, and told one of our daughters, these belong to Pam. I don’t know who he was, but I’m grateful for the gift.
I used to think that the book was photos of my great-grandfather’s family. But, I now believe it is from when my father’s siblings were younger. Some of the photos have been removed, and similar photos appeared in my grandmother’s scrapbook.
While I try to figure out the time frame of the book and the photos in it, here are some scenes I can describe. The “Cadillac Storm” is described on page 5 of this PDF. The exact date is given as February 22, 1922. I have seen many images of this storm, but didn’t know I owned so many until Sunday as I scanned them.
I do not recognize the house, or the young ladies in the photo. These are thumbnails:
This looks like a lot of ice to me. I doubt if the person who took these went far from home, so this must be their house and their yard.

Neat pics-or should I say kinda scary. Bet that storm tore up jack!
A storm that caused a lot of damage! I know my family rarely “wasted” film on the scenery unless there was a winter storm involved. Good luck figuring out who the girls are.

Thanks for the comments, ladies. That storm was legend, my Dad wasn’t born until 1927, and he knew about it. We still talk about weather more than anything in Michigan, as in, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change” And so on.
