Belle’s Box – 112

This entry is part 113 of 342 in the series Belle's Box

Read about this series of posts, regarding items in a box originally owned by Belle (Lamunion) Fellows Tinker here. The cast of characters is located here. And, there is an accounting of people about whom I have little information here.

ROCK ISLAND DEPOT, TOPEKA, KAN–Topeka is one of the large railway centers of the southwest, being entered by four of the principal western railroads. There are also large railway shops in the capital city of Kansas.

Eunice

There are photos of a bridge among the items in the box. One of Papa’s uncles remembers that Charlie worked on the bridge, which was north of Manton. I’m not sure if it was a far north as Walton, but it seems that Belle and Charlie were at Walton for some reason, and Hiram and Eunice were doing some work on Belle’s land in Charlie’s absence.
