Granny Tells You What's Going On

Funny Feeling

I’m a visitor today, at someone else’s home.  I’ve never been here before, so I don’t know where anything is.  Everyone is gone now, so it’s so quiet I can hear the clocks tick.

It’s funny how place is such a large part of who we are.  The places we live, ship, walk, bike, meet and worship in become familiar, and anything else seems less comfortable.

It is a very nice fall day, and the sun is bright, and I’m enjoying the quiet here tucked into a subdivision.  We get quite a bit of noise at our home, from a nearby main road, so the quite is a change.

Tomorrow, I’ll be back at home, and there is plenty to do there.  This week has been lost, but we will work on the yard, garden and other fall tasks over the weekend.
