Granny Tells You What's Going On

Rain Helps

This is no news flash, but just in case you didn’t know it, rain helps stuff grow. It works better than hose water, better than sprinkling can water, it just works better. Warm weather helps too.

The peonies are finally open, quite a bit later than last year.

You can see that the tulips are long gone. That’s the way of the world, they are with me for only a short time.

While I was taking pictures, this household resident was checking me out from her usual perch:

It’s pretty hard to take a photo through a screen. Chloe herself would tell you that it is difficult to hunt through one, also. But she and her buddy, Squeaky Kitty keep trying. When I came back in, she was still on the sill, but she was interested in what I was doing with the camera.

This is a cute, cuddly cat, but she leaves white hair on everything dark, and dark hair on everything white. She is a little jumpy, and hates the vacuum. I wouldn’t need to vacuum so much if she didn’t live here.

Some things have started blooming here. I expect the peonies to start soon. Warm weather certainly would help! We have a freeze warning for tonight 🙁

We’ve had way more cold weather than usual, also. I guess Memorial Day was early, but it still seems pretty cool. here. Hope the weather warms up for all of us!
