Granny Tells You What's Going On

Lately, things haven’t be behaving to suit me. It’s funny how little the world cares what I think. Funny. Since the sun is shining and I really have nothing to complain about, I show you a few new photos of the yard. At the end of last week, Papa finished tilling the garden, and put up the fence. I think D3 helped him, I did not. I don’t remember what I was doing, either.

It came out a lot larger this year. Papa made it big enough so we can use all the fence we have enclosing it. The result is a wonderful space, but there is still a lot of sod in it, in spite of all the tilling.

Also last week, the tulips came into their own. The were really beautiful for a couple of days. Since then, the wind and rain has been tough on them, but here is how they did look:

You can see my peonies against the house are getting close to blooming. And, you can see the daisies, which are just behind the tulips, coming on strong. Last year, the peonies were blooming on May 13th, I don’t think they will make that this year. It has been too cool.

I have really enjoyed the flowers in that bed this spring. I hope I have the energy to keep that bed weeded, now that we have worked so hard to get it going.
